Patkai The Heritage

Patkai The Heritage (a public school) is an endeavour of Patwari Group with a view to provide quality education to the people in an arround Makum, a small township at the NH 38, on way to digboi, the oldest oil town of Asia. The school is situated at the highway, spread over a vast pollution free area.

The Chairperson, Mr Satya Narayan Agarwal, an eminent businessperson, having keen interest in education, has been associated with a number of educational institutions like Doomdooma college, Tinsukia English Academy, Hindi English High School, Tinsukia Shishu Vidya Mandir, Doomdooma, Hindi School, Makum etc. His love for education leads him build up a model school under CBSE curriculumn where quality education would be provided to the childern in a congenial atmosphere.

Mr Hiranya Hazarika, the founder Pricipal of Patkai The Heritage, has a long period of teaching and administrative experience. He served in Arunachal Pradesh for a period od 21 years and is a recipient of Governor's State-Award for his remarkable services in the areas of socio-cultural activities among the tribal people. He was the principal at Tinsukia English Academy for 25 years and the Rector for 5 years. his planning and hard work raised Tinsukia English Academy to the height of being one of the ideal schools of this region. He has been a close associate of CBSE Educational and Training Programmes.

The School will grow stage by stage till it reaches Class XII and thereafter start the degree course in the college level. The present land area of the school is 10 bighas. Classrooms have been constructed from Play House to VI. A large open hall for playing, assembly and functions, library, computer laboratory, separate clusters of toilets for boys and girls, clean environment, with a multifarious co-curricular activities.

A construction of 200000 square metres will be made in near future for swimming pool, Horse Riding, Lawn Tennis and so on. An auditorium with modern facilities will be made available for the promotion of music and dance, literary activities and social functions.

Management

The school is very efficiently managed by Smt. Lalita Patwari, wife of Shri Satya Narayan Agarwalla with a very efficient team. The team includes Shri Nimish Patwari, Shri Paresh Patwari, Smt. Puja Siotia, Smt Sikha Patwary, Smt. Neha Patwari, Shri Kishorilal Thard (eminent Charted Accountant of the locality ), Shri mayur Agarwal ( eminent Charted Accountant of the locality ) Shri Bhaskar Dutta ( eminent and reputed lawyer the locality ), Shri Naveen Saraf ( eminent and reputed lawyer of the locality ), Shri Sumit Chamaria, Shri Vivek Goenka.
